A Wildlife Photography Workshop
A Wildlife Photography Workshop
In Dust, Darkness & the Living World, wildlife photographer Gurcharan Roopra - https://www.instagram.com/gurcharan/?hl=en
takes participants behind some of his most memorable images from the African wilderness, exploring the thinking, patience and technique behind the photograph.
Rather than simply revealing camera settings, Gurcharan invites participants to consider what they would do in the same situation before revealing his own approach. Through real-world examples, sequences and stories from the field, the workshop explores:
· Reading and working with natural light
· Understanding wildlife behavior and anticipating the moment
· Choosing shutter speed for both sharpness and creative motion
· Aperture, ISO and exposure decisions in challenging conditions
· Autofocus and subject detection for unpredictable wildlife
· Lens choice and perspective
· Composition and working with the environment
· Working in dust, darkness, rain and difficult light
· Patience, positioning and knowing when not to press the shutter
· Developing a personal photographic style
· Responsible and ethical wildlife photography
The workshop will be followed by a practical Lightroom session, where Gurcharan will take participants behind the editing process and demonstrate how he selects, processes and prepares his wildlife photographs.
