Into the wild - A one day paid photo-walk in the wild with Gurucharan Roopra

A great opportunity to learn some tips on wildlife photography as renowned wildlife photographer Gurcharan Roopra shares his ideas, experience and view on how you can capture images that will stand out from the usual wildlife photographs. Learn how to look at wildlife from a different angle and to capture moments from a fresh perspective. 

Gurcharan Roopra was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. The serene environs of his native place left a lasting impact and he became attracted to nature and art at an early age. After graduating in automotive engineering, Gurcharan lived and worked in the UK for ten years where he sorely missed the space and freedom of the bush. By 2012 he made up his mind and returned to Kenya for good. Return to the bush coincided with him developing an interest in photography. What started off as a hobby took deep roots in his mind and soon his life started revolving around wildlife and nature photography. Time and the bush were great mentors and he developed and honed his skills to become one of the most noted nature photographers in Africa.

The more the time Gurcharan spent in nature, the more passionate he has become towards mother earth and the many fellow beings on it. He is a committed to the cause of a pristine earth and has devoted his time and energy to many conservation causes in Kenya. He is happy for the fact that his images have come useful for many conservation projects. One thing is for sure, there is many more exciting things to come from this gifted photographer!

The fee will be 15,000 Kshs per adult EA citizen - this will cover the following:

 

1. Transport by tour van from Nairobi and back to Nairobi

2. Safari inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy

3. Entry fee per person for 24 hours from entry and based on single entry only

4. Entry fees for the vans and drivers

5. Full Board Accommodation at The Stables inside Ol Pejeta

6. Water and light snacks based on availability of snacks

 

The fee will not cover personal expenses such as alcoholic/soft drinks or laundry or purchases made along the way and any other cost not covered above

 

Conditions of the above rate are that:

 

1. Minimum of 6 people per van

2. All attendants stay at the same camp/lodge

3. Vans are not delayed such that 24hours are over inside the park and a second entry fee would have to be paid

4. Fee is based on using the rates published by Ol Pejeta for the entry and accommodation for the year 2020

Day 1:

0630 -    Depart Nairobi by 7am

                              Arrival at Ol Pejeta

1300:      Lunch

1500       Pre Game drive Breifing

1530       Depart for game drive to 18.30pm

19:00      Dinner

20:00      Review Photos from the afternoon & discussion

 

Day 2:

0600 -    Game Drive

0900 -    Breakfast

0930 -    Mini breifing and review 

10:00 -   Depart for Nairobi
